We will be dreaming the rood and mastering the whale-road in this rich approach to Anglo-Saxon poetry. Examining the prosody and psyche of the Anglo-Saxon scop, we shall also look at modern and contemporary poets influenced by the imagery, motifs and riddle-craft of Old English poetry from Basil Bunting to Bill Griffiths.
