An extended investigation of 'seeing through the lens darkly' from Egyptian Books of the Dead to dream incubation chambers, chance, recollection and mystery, this course will equip you with the language of Occult Poetry. We will be using ancient methods to compose: scrying, mirror-gazing, tarocchi and listening to how poets such as Yeats and James Merrill lassoed spirit voices. Ancient and profound relationships exist between the oracular poetic and premonitions of the future; spells, charms, invocations and evocations all are well-versed forms used to spirit us away. We will create an exciting body of work using supernatural methodology to heighten ways of seeing, believing and speaking.
 
This is a three week online course. When you choose to buy this course, we will contact you after purchase to arrange a time to begin which suits you. You can choose between annotated responses to your poems sent to you via email, or live discussion via google hangouts (a gmail email is free and easy to sign up for).
